Family’s Fifth Generation Operating 129 Year Old
Industrial Adhesives Manufacturing Firm
Franklin Park, IL—WISDOM ADHESIVES, manufacturer of custom
adhesives for challenging substrates and environments, announces
the appointment of Linda M. Wisdom as vice-president of operations.
As vice-president of operations, Ms. Wisdom is responsible for
plant operations, manufacturing, accounting and human resource
activities of the company. Prior to being named vice-president
of operations, Ms. Wisdom served as the company’s general
manager and handled the day-to-day management. Founded in 1875
by Philip Wisdom, Wisdom Adhesives, a family owned and managed
company, has been manufacturing industrial adhesives for 129
years. The fifth generation of Wisdom family members runs Wisdom
Adhesives.
"Due to the continued expansion of our company, we have
promoted Linda Wisdom to vice president of operations,"
states Jeff Wisdom, President. “During her 13 years
at Wisdom, Linda has been instrumental in growing the company
and making it an adhesives industry leader. Her new duties
include expanded operations, manufacturing, accounting and
human resource responsibilities.”
Ms. Wisdom, a resident of Park Ridge, IL, holds a B.A. from
St. Benedict’s College in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
Wisdom Adhesives is a member of the University of Illinois,
Chicago Family Business Council and industry related associations
including the Library Binders Association and the Association
of Independent Corrugators.
As an innovative and progressive adhesives manufacturing
firm, Wisdom continually develops and produces new varieties
of adhesive products for a wide range of applications. They
provide adhesive products to industries such as: graphic arts,
printing, packaging, bookbinding, publishing, paper, assembly
and display. In addition, Wisdom customizes adhesive solutions
to meet specific customer requirements. A continuously growing
company, Wisdom Adhesives is expanding to a new 32,000 sq.
ft. corporate office and manufacturing facility located on
two acres of property at 1575 Executive Drive, Elgin, IL.
In addition, Wisdom will continue to operate their Franklin
Park, IL adhesive production plant at optimum capacity.
