The Wisdom Way

The events of the last two years have brought about tremendous challenges and opportunities to our organization that have never been seen in our 140 year history. Business is moving faster, volatility is higher, and technology changes ever-rapidly. Through these factors, Wisdom Adhesives remains grounded in its focus on serving our customers, attending to our valued employees and giving back to the communities in which we operate. We call this the Wisdom Way.

As an example, Wisdom Adhesives has traditionally served the bookbinding and graphic arts industries; however, change was necessary to keep up with the ever moving landscape of these industries. The number of printed and bound books is projected to be relatively flat and stable for the next several years, but the advent of digital printing, on-demand publishing and e-books has transformed the industry in a way that will significantly influence the future of print media. We at Wisdom have changed with the demand of these companies by revamping our WizBond Bookbinding line to better match our customers’ needs for faster turn-around, adhesion to non-traditional surfaces and ease of use on new binding equipment. In addition, we’ve also firmly established a global strategy to match the market needs.

Paraphrasing the words of John F. Kennedy, we ask not what our customers can do for Wisdom, but what Wisdom can do for our customers. Adapting to a changing industry, like the bookbinding market, is key to our long-term viability. This is our core belief and it is one we adapt and strive to attain.
